The First Day of School – Thursday, August 18th
Teachers have been busy preparing their classrooms and the building for the first day of school! Here are a few details about what to expect.
• If you are dropping your child off at school, it is important that the parents remain in the car and follow the parent drop off procedures. Families should circle through the back of the building and avoid the main parking lot (bus drop-off). Supervisors will be on-duty beginning at 8:15
• The first period class begins at 8:40. Students will enter the building at 8:35 and have access to their locker prior to class.
• Students will receive their schedules, lockers, Chromebooks and general school supplies on the first day of school.
• Bus information was sent in a previous email. If you have questions, please contact the main office at 630-398-3838.

After School Clubs and Athletic
• The Cross Country season will begin in August. Please make sure your child has their physical paperwork turned into the office if they are interested in participating in this sport. All 6th grade students are required to have a physical to enter middle school.
• Many after school clubs will begin throughout the year. Our events will be advertised during our morning announcements, flyers within our building and highlighted in our Weekly Reminder.
Lunches
The District will be working with Quest to provide lunches at each school. Please click the links below to learn more about MyMeals registration and ordering. If a meal is not ordered in advance, extra lunches are not available at the school.
School Supplies
Medinah School District provides many of the needed school supplies for the year. Students are required to bring their own gym shoes, wired headphone, tissues and trapper keepers. Students will be changing for PE class this school year. 6th grade student uniforms were purchased with their incoming registration fees. 7th and 8th grade students may order new uniforms through the Pushcoin Store.
Our top priority is to safely meet the students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. As always, Medinah Schools are committed to Every Student, Every Day.
