"Let It Go..."

Join the LPCPA for a "Frozen" Sing-Along fundraiser on February 15.

The Lake Park Choral Parent Association proudly presents a "Frozen" Sing-Along on Saturday, February 15 at the East Campus Dice Auditorium. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. and the Sing-Along Movie will be shared at 1:45 p.m. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Your ticket allows you to join Lake Park Choral students for some frosty singing, photo opportunities with your favorite characters, and a special treat to take home. Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite princess, prince or movie character!

The suggested donation is $5.00 per person. Tickets will be available at the door

This Spring, all students at Medinah Middle School will participate in Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR).  This test is fully computerized and is the accountability piece for schools at the state and federal level.  We will begin our testing schedule for the 2019-2020 school year in early April. Please check out the links below for more information about the assessment and practice sites that can be worked on at home.

"Social Media Precautions for Teens"

Mark your calendar to attend the next Parent University program, which is free and open to the community. All are welcome; reservations are not required. Join the Lake Park Counseling Department on Wednesday, February 19 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the West Campus auditorium.

Understanding the dangers of posting personal information on social media as well as understanding what comments or posts made by your student could be viewed as threats to others is important information for all families to understand.

Come listen and learn directly from Lake Park School Resource Officers (SROs) who will share specific tips and strategies to have conversations with your students along with ways to monitor their social media platforms.

Officer Ryan Forrest (left) is a 7-year member of the Roselle Police Department. He has spent 3.5 of those years serving as Lake Park's East Campus SRO. Prior to his tenure with the RPD, he spent three years working at the Will County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officer Chris Schwytzer

(right) has served the Roselle Police Department for 11 years. He is currently in his sixth school year as Lake Park's West Campus SRO.
